Senior Digital Campaign Associate
The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that seeks to improve the systems of democracy and justice in the United States. Position Overview:
We seek a strong Senior Digital Campaign Associate to join our Communications team. The Senior Digital Campaign Associate supports the production of the Brennan Center for Justice’s national email program including newsletters, advocacy and fundraising campaigns, and program sends.
This role is responsible for day-to-day email production, coordinating with communications department and program colleagues, tracking metrics and learnings, and proposing initiatives to improve email performance, including growth, engagement, and overall list health. The role also supports the development and execution of multi-channel digital engagement and fundraising strategies and supports the social media team when extra capacity is needed. The Senior Digital Campaign Associate must have strong experience with HTML and CSS and familiarity with a large organization's email program. The selected candidate will report to the Email Manager.
Note: This position is based at our headquarters in New York City.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end email production process, including scheduling, content production, testing, proof review, and deployment.
- Support the execution of all digital fundraising campaigns and coordinate across social, ads, and website channels while maintaining consistent messaging and design.
- Expand existing fundraising campaigns — including Giving Tuesday, End of Year, and End of Fiscal Year — and proactively identify other opportunities for donor engagement.
- Help produce and test HTML emails and SMS messages for action alerts and build associated assets, including landing pages connecting constituents to elected officials.
- Support acquisition campaigns and facilitate list engagement best practices.
- Oversee the execution of onboarding and list re-engagement series to maintain list quality and reduce list churn.
- Collaborate with communications and program staff to identify high-impact opportunities to increase the visibility of our programmatic work and to generate email list engagement and growth.
- Help collect email, advocacy, and fundraising metrics to optimize performance and inform future campaigns.
- Support the social media team when extra capacity is needed, including live posting, writing copy, and scheduling content.
Collaborate with other media, editorial, design, and events teams to ensure consistency in messaging and branding. - Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in digital marketing and email strategy.
- Assist with weekend social media publishing as part of a rotating coverage schedule, and act as the primary point of coverage when the Senior Social Media Strategist is out of the office.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, in marketing, communications, or a related field; experience at a nonpartisan nonprofit is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and email strategy.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Large email program production experience. Experience with Pardot is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM is preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency preferred.
- Experience with social media management is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
The Brennan Center is a fantastic workplace! We offer competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package that is regularly assessed based on workplace trends and employee feedback.
The salary range assigned to this position is $85,000 - $90,000. We determine our salary ranges based on market competitiveness and internal equity for each job. The salary offered to a selected candidate will be contingent upon the candidate’s qualifications and internal equity considerations. Additionally, we offer a generous time off program, 401k plan, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), and wellness and office perks.
In addition, this position is part of a bargaining unit represented by the National Organization of Legal Services Workers, UAW local 2320.
